Hallo, I have been contactde from this Chaytor Smith. I received the same email that you posted. He also sent me an HSBC check via post asking me to get it. What should I do?

Can you advise and explain what he really intends to do.

I think I won´t go to bank to cllect money.It´s to strange and risky, maybe also illegal.
I will just ignore his request.

Thanks for your email. I have just concluded arrangements with the visitors and they have decided to stay at your place. The guests are from the United Kingdom, they won the best employees of the year in environment management and this holiday is a reward package from the council the work for.
However a Certified Bank Cheque of (3,150Euro) was earlier approved by the council sponsoring the guests for this holiday. The Cheque payment was meant to cover for cost their accommodation, car rental services, and other necessary arrangements for all the 7 persons who were initially meant to come for this trip, but only 3 persons will be able to come this time.
The cheque was issued to cover the entire cost of the trip and accommodation. I will send the cheque to you, when you receive it and cash it at the bank you will deduct the cost of your accommodation and services and send the balance to them for other arrangements including flight booking, transportation and shopping. I need you to confirm this and provide the following information:
(1) YOUR FULL NAME FOR THE CHEQUE TO BE PAID TO,
(2) YOUR ADDRESS and
(3) YOUR PHONE NUMBER.
